The Death Throes of PMU Continue

Salaam 'Alaikum

Along with recent resignations from Muqtedar Khan, Laury Silvers, and Michael Knight, today Omid Safi, Sarah Eltantawi, and Hussein Ibish -- three of the four founding members -- announced their resignation from the organization. So I'm not keeping track, but has this organization officially lasted longer than CAMU or not?

The burning question remains, where is Tarek Fatah? I'd wager that he is one of the many reasons for this. My heart bleeds for them. Not.

The question I asked of Omid, Hussein and Sarah is: "Why did you three leave instead of kicking Tarek out?"

No answer yet!

CAMU (see the link that Liaquat posted) was the Hasans' attempt to enter into "Islamic organizing" before Muslims fer Bush with the encouragement of their friends at the State Dept. I think the group lasted less than a year, and as far as I can remember (of course the website is gone now), they never participated in any events, held conferences, etc. and basically the only props they got were in gov't publications.
